Chaplains Program
Placing great emphasis on the importance of prayer in our lives, Unity of Sedona has a team of seventeen well-trained chaplains available to pray with congregants when desired, whether after the Sunday services, at the hospital, nursing home or on the telephone. Once a month each church member is called by a chaplain for prayer support.
At the core of the chaplain program are prayer, listening and confidentiality. The chaplain’s role is to hold spiritual space, to listen and to pray. If you have prayer needs, please contact the church office (928-282-7181). You may also fill out a Confidential Prayer Request Card, located in the pocket on the back of each sanctuary chair and in the church foyer, and place it in the Prayer Box. Those prayer requests are held in prayer for 30 days with a Mastermind Group (see below), then sent on to Silent Unity where they are prayed over for 30 days.
Our Chaplain Team Coordinators are Marie Thompson and Jeanette Suggs. Other chaplains are Marta Adelsman, Lucile Barbati, Joni Bowen, Ellie Christie, Brenda Cosse, Susan Grace, Carol Lovejoy, Jim Martin, Sonia Martin, Eddie McClellan, Jean Mullane, Mary Overman, Judith Rhoden, Michelle Smith and Judy White. Chaplains are required to members of Unity Church of Sedona and to be trained for their role. Please call the church for more information if you are interested in chaplaincy.

Master Mind Program
The Master Mind Prayer Ministry is led by Nonda Kellogg and meets each Tuesday afternoon at 1pm. in Friendship Hall (behind the church) for about two hours. All are welcome to attend and pray together with this group. Prayer requests from congregants are held in prayer in addition to the group’s personal prayers.
There are also Mastermind Prayer Groups in Cottonwood (639-4643) and in the Village of Oak Creek (282-2450). Call the above numbers for the location of the meetings. Their meetings last less than an hour.
